How to Copy a Video Link From YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram or X
Find and copy the correct public video URL on every platform before pasting it into Saveivo.
Saveivo starts with one thing: the public link to the video. The safest way to get that link is through the platform's own Share menu. Copying text from the address bar can also work on desktop, but the Share option usually gives you the cleanest URL.
Before you copy a link
Confirm that the post is public and still available. Saveivo cannot open private profiles, friends-only posts, members-only videos, deleted posts, or content that requires an account.
Only save media you created, media offered with a download-friendly license, or content you have permission to use.
Copy a YouTube video or Shorts link
On iPhone or Android
- Open the video or Short in the YouTube app.
- Tap Share.
- Tap Copy link.
- Open Saveivo's YouTube downloader and paste the URL.
On a computer
Open the individual video page and copy the address from your browser. Both standard youtube.com/watch links and youtu.be share links are recognized.
Copy a TikTok link
- Open the public TikTok video.
- Tap the Share arrow.
- Choose Copy link.
- Paste it into the TikTok video downloader.
Short vm.tiktok.com and normal TikTok links can both redirect to the public post. If an old link fails, return to TikTok and copy a fresh one.
Copy a Facebook video or Reel link
Open the individual video or Reel before copying its URL. Tap Share, then choose Copy link. Make sure the audience icon indicates that the post is Public.
Group posts and videos shared with Friends may look accessible to you because you are logged in, but they are not public links. Saveivo does not use your Facebook login and cannot open those posts.
Copy an Instagram Reel link
- Open the Reel or video post.
- Tap the Share icon or the three-dot menu.
- Choose Copy link.
- Paste it into the Instagram downloader.
The creator's profile and the specific post must be public. Expired Stories and private-account content are not supported.
Copy an X or Twitter video link
Open the individual post, select Share, and choose Copy link. Saveivo recognizes public links using both x.com and the older twitter.com domain.
Paste the link into Saveivo
Return to the Saveivo downloader, select Paste, choose a quality and press Download. Saveivo automatically detects which supported platform the URL belongs to.
If the link is valid but still fails, read Why Is My Video Link Not Working? for the most common fixes.
Use what you learned
Open the All platforms downloader
Paste a public link you own or have permission to save.
