How to Use Saveivo on an Android Phone or Tablet
Download an authorized public video in Chrome, choose a practical quality and locate the result in Android Downloads.
You can use Saveivo from Chrome or another current Android browser without installing a separate downloader app. Copy the public video URL, paste it into Saveivo, choose an available quality and let Android save the finished file in Downloads.
Try the authorized sample first
Download Saveivo's three-second test MP4 and locate it in your browser's downloads. The file contains a moving test chart with no audio. Playing all three seconds checks the local save-and-play workflow without depending on a social platform.
This does not verify YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram or X downloading. See the dated compatibility record for exactly what was checked. Physical device testing was not completed for this revision; the instructions below are documentation-based.
Prepare your Android device
Before starting, check that you have:
- A working Wi-Fi or mobile-data connection
- Enough device storage for the video
- A current browser such as Chrome
- A public link from a supported platform
- The right to download the media
Saveivo supports public links from YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and X. It does not bypass private accounts, memberships, paywalls, login requirements, deleted posts or DRM.
Copy the link from the social application
Open the individual video and select Share → Copy link. If Copy link is not immediately visible, open the platform's additional sharing options.
Do not copy the address of the creator's profile, a group, a playlist or your home feed. To confirm the copied item, paste it into a blank browser tab. It should open the individual public post.
Paste and download with Saveivo
- Open Saveivo in Chrome.
- Tap Saveivo's Paste button. If Android denies clipboard access, touch and hold the link field and choose Paste manually.
- Let Auto-detect identify the platform, or select it yourself.
- Choose the quality or Audio only option.
- Tap Download once.
- Keep the browser open while the job is queued and prepared.
- Use the final browser download control when the result is ready.
Pressing Download repeatedly can create unnecessary jobs. If the status is moving, allow the first request to finish.
Pick the right quality for Android
Use 720p for a balance of clarity, storage and transfer time. Use 480p on limited mobile data or when the video is only for quick reference. Best and 1080p can produce larger files and may require server processing.
Saveivo selects media up to your requested maximum. It cannot turn a low-resolution source into real 1080p detail.
Find the download
Chrome usually displays a notification when the file finishes. You can also locate it in several places:
- Open Chrome's menu and choose Downloads.
- Open the Files app and select Downloads.
- On Samsung devices, open My Files → Downloads.
- Search for part of the original video title if the filename is not obvious.
The video may be stored correctly without appearing immediately in Gallery. Open the MP4 from Files first. Android's media scanner may add it to Gallery later, depending on the folder and device.
Fix an Android download that will not start
Chrome says the site cannot download files
Check Chrome's site settings and Android storage availability. Do not install an unknown extension or APK to solve a normal browser-download problem.
The file remains incomplete
Keep the network connection stable and avoid clearing Chrome while the transfer is active. Delete the partial item before trying one fresh download.
The result is too large
Try 720p or 480p. Read Choosing Between 480p, 720p and 1080p before submitting again.
Saveivo cannot read the link
Copy a fresh Share link, remove surrounding text and confirm that the post opens while you are signed out. Use Why Is My Video Link Not Working? for the full checklist.
Keep Android security protections enabled. Saveivo works in the browser and does not require an APK, extension or social-media password.
